We are an interdisciplinary team of experienced food allergy specialists, including nurses and market specialists. We monitor snacks and food that is being made at hotels, restaurants, or caterers so that your child can eat in an allergy-free environment. We prepare for every meal by meeting with food preparatory staff beforehand to ensure a cooperative and safe food-preparatory environment. We are present for the preparation of each meal.
When necessary, we work with a team of medical or paramedical professionals and translators to provide a complete concierge service for families with food allergies.
Our allergy specialists are all experienced professionals. Each team member has completed a special allergy training course to be certified in controlling a kitchen environment for allergies according to medical recommendations.
Our specialists work closely with your tour group or travel agent before the trip and do a pre-visit survey on location to ensure that our specialists are able to maintain a controlled environment for allergen-free food preparation.
Eating Locally Packaged Foods in Foreign Countries
Not all countries have reporting requirements for food ingredients. Where ingredient reporting is voluntary, you cannot be sure that every product is made only of ingredients printed on the label.
For our clients, we call up the manufacturer of every product that your child will be eating to assure the safety of its consumption.
In some countries, this will require the extra services of a translator.
Understanding Local Food
Food Allergy Concierge does its research so you don’t have to. For example, a trip to Thailand with an allergy to peanuts can be challenging because peanuts and peanut oil are such a popular food, used in dishes we may not be accustomed to. In Israel, sesame is a popular food. It is used in many foods, from candy to chicken dishes.

Medical supervision for your vacation
While travelling in remote locations involves less risk of allergens from processed foods, the long distance from health care facilities must be considered. Food Allergy Concierge can provide extra medical staff with medical and paramedical staff available for a completely safe vacation.
We do everything to maintain sterility and prevent cross-contamination in the food prep area. Unfortunately, no one can 100% control an environment. Despite all efforts, an allergen can come into contact with food through ventilator systems and unobservable circumstances.
